Benefit Gig

Thanks for Chris for organising the East African benefit gig at St Johns in Bridgetown.

It was a very good night and our Bev just happened to be in 3 of the 4 bands performing that night!

All the bands played great sets. Starting off proceedings was 5 Fold, playing funky pieces from the likes of Abdullah Ibrahim and others. I was particularly interested in Ians 5 string bass but we wont go into that right now…!

Then we played and all went well with a lot of people complimenting our latest song ‘Take a Risk’ which is a very pacey rock track – we must get a vid done a put it up on you-tube.

Then we had some excellent reggae from what was billed as Rich T and the reggae roots but there was a change of name at the beginning which I didn’t catch so if anyone wants to update me I’ll be glad to be corrected! Everyone was up and dancing which was great.

Finally a set from the Totnes Workshop Band who did a great rousing job with a sterling and enthusiastic lead from Barry with Chris helping out later as well.

A great evening and I understand the funds raised were well in excess of £400 quid for the East African Crisis- well done again to Chris for putting it all together.
